The article presents research which assessed the internationalization of medium- or small-size enterprises depending on transition economies. The researchers used the grounded theory method in analyzing the challenges faced by the companies as they enter the global market since it allows for the development of conceptual categories and their relations from raw data. They also gathered samples from Vietnam as its economy has been observed to be internationalizing at a remarkable speed in the 2000s.
