Molecular diagnostics is a subject which needs to be discovered not only in theory but also labworks, as it is an application course. This subject helps to understand the principal of molecular techniques and diagnostic applications. Besides the molecular biology technique the bioinformatics are also discovered to apply in designing and development of molecular diagnostic tests for different kind of diseases.
The goal of this practical course is to teach students the necessary skills to design a molecular diagnostic test, to perform competently at the bench in a molecular diagnostic lab and interpret the diagnosis results. Emphaisis will be placed on basic molecular techniques such as PCR, realtime PCR,...besides the bioinformatics tools and knowledge about the causative of the diseases in molecular level.
