This study investigates tourism workers’ perceptions of the role of English in sustainable tourism development in three communes of Cu Lao Gieng, An Giang province. Using a mixed-methods approach with surveys and semi-structured interviews, the research found that workers hold positive attitudes toward English as a key factor in communication, job creation, income improvement, cultural preservation, and environmental awareness. The findings highlight English as an essential tool for promoting sustainable tourism at the local level
